SERVE FROM HOME AS A PHONE COUNSELOR
Many of our volunteer opportunities can be done from your own home. We are building out the SF Night Ministry. We can use just about any skill supporting our beloved non-profit ministry with a renewed mission and purpose. Our telephone Care Line Counselors work from home, from anywhere in the world.
We also accept externs from other organizations or programs, such as CPE clinical placements (www.sfnightministry.org/cpe) and chaplaincy programs such as Sati and Upaya.
WALK THE STREETS AS AN AMBASSADOR
Ambassadors are volunteers who do ministry alongside our staff, at night, on the streets, and in bars, coffee shops, transit stations and the like. This is a set program with a certification of chaplaincy hours upon completion. Perfect for CPE graduates or others seeking to build spiritual care experience.
JOIN OUR TEAM OF TRAINED CARE LINE COUNSELORS
Virginia works as a Care Line Counselor from Ireland, and now she receives clinical hours for her CPE program.

PREPARE A ‘TO GO’ MEAL FOR OPEN CATHEDRAL OR OPEN SHABBAT
In the era of pandemic, we follow all protocols. Meals are served to go. Volunteers can serve or simply drop off prepared meals, which we will distribute.
OFFER YOUR DIGITAL OR MARKETING SKILLS
Raj uses his expertise as a systems analyst to help Night Ministry migrate to Google Workspace.
BRING YOUR GROUP ON A COMMUNITY NIGHT WALK
Walk out with our night ministers and provide hygiene kits, socks, or other basic needs to our unhoused neighbors. Click here for more information.
